The Lagos Chapter of the Nigeria Institution of Procurement Engineers (NIProcE), the 24th division of the Nigeria Society of Engineers under the leadership of Engr Samuel C. Echedom FNSE, KSC, has paid courtesy call to the management of Nigerian Railway Corporation at their headquarters in Lagos.
The 24th Division of NSE, shortened as NIProcE has mandates as a Procurement Institution which include: to monitor and supritend the compliance and effective implementation of the PPA 2007, serve as a watchdog to ensure that fairness, equity, transparency, openness, efficiency and value for money is acheved in procurement process and also, to assist in enlightening the general public on the salient issues in the PPA, 2007.
It was in pursuant of this mandate that the institution paid the Historic August Visit to the Managing Director, Nigeria Railway Corporation Engr Fidet Okhiria, FNSE and the NRC Management.
The two sides discussed joint roles and responsibilities and other issues of mutual interest.

Lagos Chapter meets on first Tuesday of every month.
