Our client a Multi-Disciplinary Engineering Consultancy Firm is looking to fill in the following engineers / surveyors’ positions for a project in Niger State.
JOB POSITIONS:
- CHIEF/RESIDENT ENGINEER (TEAM LEADER):
Bsc in Civil Engineering and at least 15 years of professional engineering experience including at least 10 years on the supervision of road construction/rehabilitation works.
Post Graduate qualification in Highway Engineering will be an advantage.
The candidate shall have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a position of managerial capability through the directing/managing of major roads works, including projects of a similar nature (rural roads) and magnitude.
He should have worked as Team Leader or Resident Engineer for minimum of at least 2 projects on works based in FIDIC conditions. He should also be familiar Modern Total Station Survey and Construction techniques.
2. HIGHWAY ENGINEER:
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with COREN registration. Post Graduate qualification in Highway Engineering will be an advantage.
Minimum experience should be 10 years in Highway/Road Infrastructure construction. He must have experience in supervision of laterite roads.
3. STRUCTURAL ENGINEER:
Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering with COREN registration. Post Graduate qualification in Structural engineering will be an advantage.
Minimum experience should be in 10 years’ professional experience in design and construction of bridges, culverts and other concrete structures.
The candidate should be capable of monitoring the contractor’s bridge rehabilitation and repair works and determine he need for adjustment of the works specified in the contracts, and, as required, provide working drawings, Specification details and instructions to the contractors for any bridge within the constructions site for works.
He must have been involved as Bridge/Structural Engineer on at least three highway construction/rehabilitation projects, Communication fluently in English is essential.
4. ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST:
Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) with graduate studies (at least master degree or equivalent) in the environmental field.
Minimum experience should be twelve (12) years with a minimum specific experience of five (5) years as Environmental Specialist for infrastructure studies.
Must have direct experience in the preparation and implementation of the environmental impact assessment in at least 3 projects.
5. SENIOR LAND SURVEYOR:
Bachelor degree in Land Surveying or relevant discipline. Minimum experience should be ten (10) years, with a minimum experience of five (5) years in the road projects.
Communicating fluently in English is essential.
6. QUANTITY SURVEYOR:
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline. Minimum experience should be (8) eight years, with specific experience in Building and Infrastructure Projects/Facilities Quantities.
Experience in Sub Saharan Africa would be an advantage.
7. SENIOR QUALITY/MATERIAL ENGINEER:
Bachelor Degree in Civil engineering or relevant discipline. Minimum experience should be (8) eight years, with specific experience in Building and Infrastructure Projects/Facilities Quantities.
Experience in Sub Saharan Africa would be an advantage.
