With the passing of Engr Prof. H. I. Hart, The Nigerian Society of Engineers and the entire engineering family have lost a great scholar and committed engineer. For many years we have worked together to champion a course we believe will foster equity and professionalism in the Nigerian Society of Engineers. The efforts of his labour have started yielding good fruits when we heard of his sudden demise.
He may have had his difference with others on salient issues but I can say that he completely dedicated his time, talents, and interests to the work growth and development of the engineering profession in Nigeria.
His distinguished stewardship … was an inspiration … and we are confident that the legacy of his good works will extend far into the future.
May God bless and keep alive the memory of his devoted life of faith in God and service to humanity.
Rest in peace our erudite scholar and leader of men.
