Yesterday, Tuesday 2nd August 2016, a brand new 18-seater bus was donated to the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Awka branch by our ever hard working and highway engineer friendly Governor, His Excellency Chief Dr Willie Obiano (Akpokue Gobal). On behalf of the Governor, the presentation was done at the governor’s lodge, Amawbia by the SSA on Administration, Mr. Joel Ogbuefi.

The key to the bus was received by our youth friendly and diligent Branch Chairman, Engr. S. I. Ofodile in the presence of some of his Executive members. It can be recalled that a lot have been achieved by the current Chairman of Awka branch especially in terms of governmental relationship with the engineers in Awka and Anambra State at large.

In his tenure as the branch Chairman, he has created a friendly atmosphere between the Government of the day and the Engineers in the state;
*Our branch has been able to meet and seat with the Executive Governor of Anambra State in the history of this branch.
*Three (3) of our young Engineers were appointed Special Assistants (SAs) to the Governor of Anambra State. The young engineers are still members of NSE Awka Branch.
* Yesterday, the same Governor of Anambra State donated to Engineers, a brand new 18-seater bus to assist Engineers in their day to day activities in the State.

Engr. S. I. Ofodile has made a remarkable history in NSE Awka Branch within two (2) years of his tenure. This is a rare standard he has set in Awka Branch. Members of NSE Awka Branch will never forget you.

Long Live Anambra State
Long Live Akpokue Dike Global
Long Live the Highway Engineers Friendly Governor.
