Like a colossus Dr. T. M Olatunji bestrides the world he live in with a positive influence on the people around him.
A distinguished engineer of note and a leader of great repute with oriented vision. He is a man whose leadership quality has define the social engineering norms; not only among the body of engineers, but across the landscape of the built industry with his engineering sagacity. A first class product of the profession, he has effectively been able to synchronize between the leaders in the engineering profession and the youths alike; which makes him a sought after leader on re-engineering issues in the built industry.
It was as a result of these selfless and love for humanity that the distinguished personalities in the built industry gathered at NECA House Alusa Ikeja CBD to celebrate a man described as a living icon.
The event which kick stated with a hearth warming welcome address by the Lagos chapter chair of NICE Engr. Adetana Lola. The public lecture in honour of Dr. T.M Olatunji was declared open by the National Chairman of NICE, Engr Aisha Umar.
The arrays of event witness a high sounding, informative and expository lecture by the guest speaker a Town Planner, Tpl. Toyin Ayinde former commissioner in Lagos State, on Re-engineering the Nigeria infrastructure; a lecture which leave many audience captivated.
The high point of the event came as the master celebrant himself Dr. Engr T.M Olatunji mount the podium, with a heart filled with appreciation as he reeled out his past event and achievements while returning all glory to God for the act of benevolence upon him as he appreciated all his well wishers who came from far and near to honour him.
Thereafter, is the induction of new and official NICE member who took an oath to be good ambassador of the institution of NICE. While, the event came to a conclusion with the cutting of cake by the celebrant, his amiable wife among the cream de la cream in the built industry with group photographs to take home.
Among the dignitaries present are: Engr. Akintunde Zedoni(Past NIMechE National Chairman), Engr. Taiwo Adeboye(Past NICE Lagos chairman), Engr. James Owivry Ruben, Engr. Victor Oyenuga, Engr. Amos Omopeloye (Past NICE National Chairman), Engr. S. Lawal (ASCE President), Engr. Mrs. Ramat Odejayi (first female Executive Secretary of NICE and current ASCE Nigeria chair), Engr. Margaret Ogunatala, Engr. Tokunbo Ajanaku (The anchor man), Engr. Funmi Akigbagbohun, Engr. Aguabata (APWEN), Engr. Laolu Asida, Engr. Akintola Charles, Engr. Osuolaleye, Engr. Dawodu, Engr. Ibrahim; among other engineers, professionals in the built industry and friends of the celebrants who are former old school colleagues and his CDA members.
No doubt, the celebrants and NICE has left a foot print on the sand of time to honour a distinguished member Dr. T.M Olatunji among her ranks file, on his 65th birthday anniversary with a public lecture and induction new NICE member ( a 3-in 1 event). Once again we wish the celebrant a resounding happy birthday filled with joy and happiness even as he age in grace.
