Doman Long Engineering On courtesy Visit to NSE Headquarters

The leadership of Doman Long Engineering, one of Nigeria’s older steel and Fabrication companies recent paid a courtesy Visit to the NSE National Engineering Centre in Abuja.

Led by its Managing Director, Engr. Chris Ijeli along with company of others the team was received by the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr Margaret Oguntala.

During the visit, Ijeli  revealed the company’s commitment to fostering closer ties with the NSE. He spoken on the company’s extensive contributions to critical projects such as the Niger Bridge and NLNG Trains 3 to 7 while expressing the need to enhance its visibility within Nigeria’s Engineering community.

Engr. Ijeli also emphasized Doman Long’s focus on training young Engineers through internships and institutional partnerships to build Nigeria’s Engineering capacity.

Engr. Ijeli highlighted the company’s 21-year collaboration with ENSO, which facilitated the transfer of Korean technology and expertise to Nigeria, enabling Doman Long to provide comprehensive Engineering solutions. He shared notable achievements of the company showcasing the its innovative capabilities and dedication to excellence.

The President, of the NSE, Engr Margaret Oguntala expressed enthusiasm and appreciated him and his team for the visit. She acknowledged the firm’s historical significance in Nigeria’s Engineering sector and its contributions to infrastructure development.

Oguntala, welcomed collaboration proposal from Doman Long Engineering Limited, describing it as a step forward in strengthening ties between the NSE and Doman Long.

Reflecting on a relationship spanning over a decade, the President said that the Doman Long’s proposal aligns with NSE’s mission to enhance the professional capacity and welfare of Nigerian Engineers.

The collaboration is expected to foster knowledge sharing, improve networking opportunities, and support Engineering initiatives across the country, positioning both NSE and Doman Long as key drivers of Nigeria’s progress in Engineering.
