NSE Confers Honorary Fellowship on Chief Leemon Ikpea,

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Engineering profession and the development of the oil, gas, and power industries, the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) has conferred an honorary award on Chief (Dr.) Leemon A. Ikpea, CON, JP.

The ceremony took place at the NSE Headquarters, with the Honorary Fellowship award conferred by the President of NSE andChairman- in- Council, Engr. Margaret Aina Oguntala, FNSE, supported by the Chairman, Board of Fellows, Engr. Maliki Kamila, mni, FNSE.

Chief (Dr.) Leemon Ikpea, the Group Chairman and CEO of Lee Engineering Group and Allied Companies Limited, is renowned for his visionary leadership and entrepreneurial acumen in the oil, gas, and power sectors.

With over 46 years of experience and a workforce exceeding 3,000 employees, his company plays a significant role in driving Nigeria’s Local Content Initiative. His commitment to Engineering excellence, local capacity building, and philanthropy have earned him numerous accolades, including the Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).

The President of NSE, Engr. Margaret Oguntala, lauded Chief Ikpea’s dedication, stating, “Chief Ikpea’s contributions have significantly advanced the Engineering landscape in Nigeria. This honorary award reflects our deep appreciation for his impact on the industry and society.”

Engr. Maliki Kamila, Chairman of the Board of Fellows, further emphasized the importance of Chief Ikpea’s contributions, highlighting his investments in local fabrication factories and his support for community development and youth empowerment through his foundation
