Job Title: Senior Technology Consultant

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Benin, Edo

Reports to: Head, Technical Products and Consulting (TPC)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technology Consultant (Engineering Manager) to join our Technical Products and Consulting (TPC) team.
As a technical leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products while maintaining a strategic focus on innovation, scalability, and client management.

Job Responsibilites
Principal Accountabilities:

1. Provide technical leadership and guidance to multiple outsourced development teams.
2. Handle client accounts independently, representing the TPC desk and the firm.
3. Review and assess technical proposals, designs, and code contributions from external teams.
4. Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment processes.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
6. Foster a culture of innovation, quality, and collaboration among development teams.
7. Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical problem-solving.

Key Performance Indicators

1. Increase efficiency of outsourced development teams by 50% through improved technical leadership and guidance.
2. Achieve a 20% reduction in technical debt through rigorous code review and adherence to best practices.
3. Develop and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation.
4. Maintain a feedback score of 90% or higher from team members on technical leadership and guidance.
5. Achieve a compliance rate of 95% or higher for adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment processes.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. 5-8 years proven experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles.
3. Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies, architecture, and DevOps practices.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Experience working with geographically distributed and outsourced development teams.
6. Proficiency in programming languages, modern software development tools, and cloud platforms.

Experience:

1. Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
2. Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
3. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical execution.
