ENGR. DR. MOJIRADE MONSURAT OLORUNTOBA FNSE, FNSChE, MAPWEN
Engr. Dr. Mojirade Monsurat Oloruntoba is a committed member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) with a strong dedication to upholding the society’s values and driving its progress. Her mission is threefold:
- Strengthening the NSE: She aims to actively support the NSE’s vision and mission, contributing to its transformation while adhering to the highest standards of professional ethics.
- Elevating the Profession: By promoting professionalism and strictly adhering to the Society’s ethical guidelines, she seeks to contribute to the advancement and recognition of the engineering profession.
- Serving the Engineering Community: Leveraging her experience and expertise, she aspires to serve the NSE to the fullest extent of her capabilities. Her past roles as Chairman of various NSE committees, where she successfully implemented best practices, demonstrate her commitment to serving the Society.
Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Mojirade M. OLORUNTOBA is currently a Deputy Director (Engineering Research) at Prototype Engineering Development Institute (PEDI), Ilesa, an Institute under the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), where she Heads the Research and Development Department, providing visionary leadership while ensuring excellent professional work ethics.
She obtained a B.Sc degree in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State and M.Sc and Ph.D. degrees also in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos. Her academic journey is further enriched by several other professional certifications, among which is a certificate in International Project Managers (CIPM) Course and Microsoft Project Tool.
She has carved a path defined by academic excellence, research, and unwavering dedication to the advancement of engineering and technology in Nigeria. She has participated in, and supervised several research proposals and engineering projects, and garnered a wide range of experiences through such projects. She has attended quite a number of workshops, seminars and conferences (both within and outside the shore of Nigeria) and presented academic research papers at some of the proceedings; in addition to having a number of publications in reputable journals to her credit. She is also a Journal Reviewer of The Journal of Scientific Research and Reports, and The Biotechnology Journal International, amongst others.
Her commitment to professional development is evident in her active involvement in numerous professional organizations, as she is currently a Member of The Engineering Accreditation Committee (EAC) of COREN; a Member of the NSE Board of Fellows (BOF) and Chairman, NSChE Membership Committee.

Mojirade, though widowed is a mother to many; out of which are four blessed biological children (ages 24, 23, 21 and 19). She lives and breathes the “CAN DO” spirit, and believes that success is achievable only by those who dare!
