The newly appointed Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin on Tuesday 17th October, 2023 commended the Management Staff of the Council for a warm reception as he resumed duty.
Addressing the Council’s Management Team, the Director General applauded the achievements of NADDC and implored all to align with the people oriented agenda of the new administration to reposition the economy in the interest of the nation.
Osanipin assured of exemplary leadership as he urged all departments of the Council to synergize for adequate service delivery with utmost sense of responsibility, adding that the importance of automobiles in every day-life can not be over emphasized, thus the need for relentless efforts towards the development of the Nigeria Automotive Industry.
The new NADDC Boss was happily welcomed by the Staff who also pledged their unwavering support to ensure successful implementation of the Council’s mandates.
It could be recalled that Joseph Osanipin was among the recently appointed CEO’s by President Bola Tinubu to direct the affairs of the agencies under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin boasts an impressive educational and professional background. His educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (BSC Accounting) from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Benin (Uniben).
For professional qualifications, Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin holds the distinguished title of Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA – ICAN) and is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
His career trajectory commenced with a role as a Senior Internal Auditor at Ibru Organisation, a position he held from 1996 to 2000. During this formative stage, he honed his skills and gained invaluable experience in the field of internal audit.
In 2000, he joined Zenith Bank as an auditor and progressively ascended the organizational ladder. His roles included that of an IT Auditor and responsibilities in Internal Control and Audit. Throughout his 12-year tenure, his contributions played a pivotal role in enhancing the bank’s internal control and audit functions.
Following his tenure at Zenith Bank, in 2013, he joined the GIG Group, where he made significant contributions in various capacities. His roles included Head of Internal Control and Audit and later, Group Head of Finance and Accounts.
His proficient leadership and expertise in the domains of finance and audit significantly contributed to the success of the GIG Group during his tenure from 2013 to 2019.
Prior to his appointment as the new head of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC). Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin served as the CFO/Head of Strategy and Projects at Jet System Auto Industries Ltd.
His appointment to this role commenced in 2019. In this capacity, he oversees the financial aspects of the company while also spearheading strategic projects at the JET Motor Company Electric Vehicles.
