Engr. Joshua Egube assumes office as the New Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Society of Engineers

The Nigerian Society of Engineers, NSE, has a new Executive Secretary in person of Engr Joshua Egube, a Fellow of Nigerian Society of Engineers. Egube resumes office on Friday July 1st, 2022 in accordance with the resolution by the Council at its meeting of March 17, 2022.

He was officially received at the Secretariat by the Deputy President, Engr. Margaret A. Oguntala, in acting capacity on behalf of the President Engr Tasiu Saad Gidari Wudil. The Vice President of NSE, Collaborations and Linkages, Engr. Chinasaokwu Okolie, was also in attendance.

The Occasion also served as the official handing-over ceremony as the erstwhile Acting Executive Secretary, Mr. Abdulkadir Aliyu, present his handing-over notes to the new Executive Secretary, Engr Joshua Egude. Prior to being appointed in Acting capacity, Aliyu occupied the Position of the Director of Corporate Services.

The Director, Corporate Services (erstwhile Ag. ES) took the new Executive Secretary on familiarization tour of the secretariat and staff

It will be recalled that the Council, in its wisdom, resolved that July 1st should be the assumption date of the newly employed Executive Secretary, as well as subsequent Executive Secretaries. The resolution was in recognition of the need to allow for residual administrative experiences at the Secretariat when a new President is assuming office in January.

The Executive Secretary is in charge of the day to day management of the Nigerian Society of Engineers secretariat, staff and also serve as the Council Secretary.
