These kills can be build into well structured organised companies and even franchises. These are not economic survival skills ooo. These are valuable, well paying skill sets.
They’re skills that can get you financially stable, secure and even rich faster than numerous classroom based certifications.
The first two skills that paved financial and professional ways for me were being a Biometric sales and Installation technician + Presentation skills, backed by a very strong work ethics. I sold and installed over N85m worth of devices+solutions over a span of 6 years without having an office. Just referrals. I had my tools box which consisted of cutter, driller, screw drivers, pliers. And guess what? I taught myself the skills.
The other day, a computer sales technician was telling me that in the whole of Abuja, there is only one guy that know how to install a particular computer software. The guy’s level of pride is not here.😀
After acquiring the technical skills, acquire solid social etiquette and presentation/ communication skills, and develop your EQ and AQ. Boom! You’re good to go.
If you’re still single, na superpower you get and I think you shouldn’t misuse it. Use it to acquire real marketplace skills.
There are so much gaps in the the vocational marketplace that require a lot of people with skills to come close…..but errm….one of the barrier to acquiring these skills is academic pride. You see that Degree and HND that many Nigerians hold? It is their undoing? With it in hand, an average graduate thinks other things are beneath them. Whereas, MANY do not have any skills. Many can’t even use MS Office.
There is not job that automatically confers prestige, it is the practitioner that adds prestige to the job.
