WORKING EXPRERIENCE

1970-1971: Practical Training in Lift Technology with Richard Sauter; Munich,
West Germany.

1978-1980: Worked as Design Engineer on Naval Dock Yard Projects at Wilmot Point Victoria Island

(i) Design Engineer on Kastsina Ala Road Project Benue State.
Both under supervision of Adejumo, Ogunshola & Partners of 8/10 Broad Street, Lagos.

1980-August 1999: Joined Lagos State Development & Property Corporation as Engineer and rose to the level of Deputy General Manager some of the challenging assignments are:

(i) Structural Design of Multi-facet low cost houses located in state by the State Government (1980-1983)

(ii) Structural Design & Supervision of Prototyped framed three storey building located as Dairy Farm Ojokoro, Iba.

(iii) Structural Designs of Some medium income House amongst them is thirteen storey block of offices at Macarthy Street Lagos. (Texaco House)

(iv) Approving officer on High Rise Building Structures in Lagos State (1982-1987)

(v) Responsible for the design of road networks within L.S.D.P.C. housing Estates.

August 1999- Dec 2005. Deployed to Lagos State, Ministry of Works and Infrastructure as Director of Civil Engineering.

(i) Engaged in the improvement of drainage design from block wall type to reinforced walls on both sides for better aesthetics.

(ii) Introduction of Interlocking stone technology as pavement material in areas with low bearing pressure

(iii) Involved in the supervision of 417 roads within old twenty local government areas

(iv) Involved in the new concept of road development private sector participation.

(v) Involved in the design of Bridges & other Marine Structures for the State Government.

(vi) Challenging projects undertaking during the periods are

(viii) Urbanisation of Ikotun-Igando road project. .
(ix) Upgrading and Dualisation of Awolowo Road Ikoyi

(x) Reconstruction of Adeola Odeku road in Victoria Island.

JANUARY 2008: Coordinating Director in charge of Civil Engineering
Projects. At present, coordinating the Planning, Designs and Implementation aspects of Lagos Island Central Business District Projects.

FEBUARY 2008 – APRIL 2008: Deployed to Office Drainage, Ministry Of The
Environment as Director Special Project Unit.

APRIL 2008 TO DATE: Deployed to Lagos State New Towns Development
Authority as Director Engineering Services. Responsible for the Planning, Design and Supervision of Roads, Water and Electrical Services in Government New Towns and Estates.

RECENT AWARDS:

(i) The foremost Director of Civil Engineering in 36 States of the Federation as confirmed by Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers and for Managing successfully highest number of Civil Engineering projects ever in Lagos State (2005 award)

(ii) United Nations Scholar on Housing for Developing Countries (1987-1988 award).

PUBLICATIONS: Author of the following Civil Engineering textbooks

(i) Simplifying Concrete Structural Elements using Coefficient method (published in Sept 2005).

(ii) Bending Moment & Shear Force Coefficients for 2&3 Spans (published in1982).
