COREN notice of Extra Charge to name correction and verification of certificates

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has in a recent memo signed by the Registrar, Prof. Joseph Odigure advised Registrants to be meticulous while entering their information/basic data on the application forms and other registration documents.

It further stated that henceforth, registrants will be held responsible for any error on their application/registration documents. and all requests for correction of details on the certificates, stamps e.t.c. shall be surcharged as follows: Engineers (Certificate, Stamp and Seal) – N20,000; Other cadres (Certificates only) –N,5000.

In a similar way, the Council also stated that Engineering practitioners will attract a fee of Ten Thousand Naira (N 10,000.00) per certificate for the verification of their certificate.

The council also advised that all payments to the council must be made to COREN via generic payment on the COREN website. www.coren.gov.ng and the the generated receipt of payment must be attached to the application letter along with a copy of the certificate to be verified.
