2020: COREN Sets Agenda For ERM C’ttees

The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has come up with various planed activities for Engineering Regulation Monitoring (ERM) committees to be carried out for the year 2020.

The president of the council, Engr. Ali A. Rabiu stated this while briefing media in Abuja on the activities and the achievements recorded by the council in the year 2019.

He said this year, the council had lined-up events for the committees, such as the inauguration of ERM National Technical Committee (NTC) and the ERM State Technical Committee (STC).

Others, he said, include the inauguration of expatriates’ workshop on the implementation of the Council Act and visitations to engineering project sites and various STC – ERM inspectorates.

Engr. Rabiu further revealed that this year, there will be bi-annual meeting with ERM Chief Inspectors and ERM Desk Officers, adding that ERM guidelines would be issued among others.

The president noted that in 2019, the council recorded a lot of accomplishments and undertook series of activities that have great impact on the engineering profession in the nation.
