As part of its corporate social responsibility and efforts at contributing to the security in its domain, as well as creating awareness, the newly created branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Aguata Branch under the leadership of Engr Ojo Olufemi had paid courtesy visits to two DPOs of Ekwulobia and Oko police divisions in the area.
At Ekwulobia police division, the meeting took place inside the DPO’s office with SP Ayeni Oluwadare receiving the team. The Branch chairman, Engr. Olufemi Ojo leading the Engineering delegates, introduced the new Branch and also disclosed the purpose of their visit. He used the opportunity to canvass support for the young branch and also introduced its officials.
The DPO, SP Ayeni Oluwadare in response, thanked the chairman and his team for the foresight. He expressed delight over the visit which he described as timely, well calculated and perfectly coordinated as the police needs the support of professionals in discharging its duties to the community.. He promised to be ofgood assistance to the young branch any time necessity warrant even outside his area of coverage.
At Oko Police Division, the team were received by the delighted DPO SP Attah Ignetus. The Branch chairman, Engr Ojo used the opportunity to sympathize with him on his recent accident. He introduced the Branch and the team.
SP Attah I. M. The DPO,in response, expressed gratitude to the branch and promised readiness of his division to collaborate with the Branch. He thanked the team for identifying with him and by extension,the Nigerian Police. He used the opportunity to informed the team that he has two engineers who are working with him and would be encouraged engineering body. Finally, he encouraged the branch to work towards making the NSE Aguata Branch the best among the branches in the country.
The NSE Aguata Branch is a newly created Branch of NSE. Its inauguration and other programmes will be announced soon.
