Breaking: Power Transition at NSE as Engr Otis Anyaeji Handover to Engr Kunle Mokuolu

The 31st President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Adekunle Mokuolu, FNSE, has taken over from the 30th President Engr. Otis Anyaeji, FNSE, FAEng.

The brief ceremony of the official handover took place today, Saturday, December 30, 2017, at the National Engineering Centre (NEC) Headquarters, Abuja.

Anyaeji had on Thursday, December 28, 2017, in an email to Mokuolu wrote “With all sense of fulfillment and expectation of a very great future for our equally great and honourable the Nigerian Society of Engineers, I invite you to the documented handover from me to you on 30th of December, 2017”.

Anyaeji said the exercise was in line with the custom of the Society as the President was expected to handover to the incoming President on  December 31, when his two-year tenure would have come to an end.

He therefore presented the hand over notes to Mokuolu and thanked him, the entire Executive Committee Members, Members of the Society and the Secretariat Staff for the support he was given to succeed office. 

The 31st President  of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Adekunle Mokuolu, FNSE in his response said the NSE has a very smooth succession plan in the running of it affairs as a professional organization. 

According to him, “This is the beauty of the engineering profession in Nigeria. This is what makes the profession great and noble. We will continue to strive to make the Society greater”.

Mokuolu pledged that his administration will keep the flag flying by ensuring that the Society remains noble.

He thanked Engr. Otis Anyaeji, FNSE, FAEng, for his commitment, contributions and service to the Society. He wished Anyaeji well and much more success in his future endeavours.

The official inauguration ceremony has been slated for January. Keep a date. 

Congratulations to Engr Otis Anyaeji for his successful tenure.
