The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Engr. Otis Anyaeji, FNSE, FAEng led a high-powered delegation of the Society in visiting the ancient and revered royal palace of the Olubadan of Ibadan to pay courtesies to HRM Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogunguniso 1 on Friday, 4th August, 2017.
The President intimated His Majesty that the Society was on a mission to inaugurate NSE Oluyole Branch as the 66th branch NSE. As custom demands, the Society thought it fit to inform His Majesty and seek royal blessings for a successful inauguration.
His Royal Majesty was gracious in pouring out his fatherly blessings, and that was supported with the motherly blessings of the Olori.
One of the highpoints of the memorable
visit was when Mr. President waxed lyrical in chanting the royal titles of the Olubadan of Ibadan. The palace erupted in cheers at how fast the President mastered and uniquely rolled out the many regal names of HRM.
The visit was brought to a cheerful end with NSE presentation of souvenirs, and group photographs.
