The Nigerian Society of Engineers, under the leadership of its 29th President, Engr. Ademola Isaac Olorunfemi, FNSE was on a working visit to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye recently.
part of the activities marked for the visit was the inspection tour of the ongoing 3 Km by 3 Km Auditorium project embarked upon by the church.
Though unavoidably absent due to very busy schedules, the General Overseer, Pastor E. O. Adeboye was ably represented by Prof. Pastor Aboaba, a renowned Professor of Engineering, who warmly received the NSE team. Expressing the GO’s profound apologies and prayers for us. He led the delegate to the site along with the the Project Manager, Engr. Kumapayi who was the tour guide.
Prof. Aboaba explained that on completion, the 12-million seater 3×3 Km auditorium is to replace the 1.5-million seater 1.5×0.8 Km auditorium presently in use by the church.
The NSE team observed that despite the gargantuan magnitude of the project, there is not a single foreigner engaged, either as Engineer or consultant.

The NSE President, in closing, presented souvenirs to the GO and promised to follow up on the observations of the team, and suggestions/contributions to facilitate further success on the project.
